Remember Gary... Fair and Balanced...
I am going to dump a few hundred in GM and Ford this week... Any strong company who produces a product
that ties thousands of jobs with it's product. Will not stay at a 58 year low..
They will not file bankruptcy.. The goverment will step in and provide $$$.. Just like they did for Chrysler years ago.
And turned a profit off those loans in the end..
I fiqured I have lost 30% in my 401K these past few weeks. How is 500 dollars going to make a difference.
Heck, GM would only need to get back to 10 bucks and Ford to 5 bucks to double my money. Silver will have
to get to 26.00 to make the same % off the investment.
My bet is GM and Ford will double before my silver does....JMHO
Remember the banks and investment firms did not produce a viable product for the world market.
GE, GM, Ford, Walmart, Johnson and Johnson, Hershey, Budweiser, all produce a product that ties directly to world consumption.
Unless you are banking on Jesus coming back soon, I would follow strong companies that produce something..
I think that kinda follows Warren Buffett's investment strategies somewhat as well.. He has made money in this market
while the majority of market holders have lost....
How much silver do you think goes into the electronics in a modern vehicle?
I'd trust Ford far more than I would GM/Chrysler based on performance.
They do make the F-150 and they still sell one every 7 seconds, 24/7/365.

i bought a toyota.
i would rather have the silver and flip it. repeat. repeat.
I knew it would happen.
He said we can afford to sell a vehicle at a small loss. Not sure how many companys stay in business hoping to sell products at a loss.
Maybe they have the too big fail so taxpayers will keep us afloat plan.

<< <i>Actually he was talking about their new electric car which is due to be in showrooms in two years. He was saying that a small loss was tolerable. But he also revealed in the interview that the cost of the car was underestimated and now the price will have to be much higher or they will have a bigger loss. >>
i bought a toyota, cough cough, prius hybrid which was sold in japan
in 1999 and the US in 2003.
gm and ford have their heads up their butts and have had it there
for a decade or two. overpaid suits without a clue.
Hey, I live in Texas, it's requirement here.
Other than a new truck one day the only other Ford I have my eye on is the Ford GT.
Never own another GM product in my life!
There will NEVER be a hybrid or electric vehicle allowed in my driveway either.
I keep drums of C-14 and C-16 in my garage, that should explain my position.

why not? get behind the wheel of a fully loaded prius and you may be
surprised. went to a farm fair today two hours away and enjoyed
my 47 miles per gallon.

I'm afraid I would be too embarassed to ever sit in a Prius, nothing personal. I wouldn't be surprised at all, just sad and disappointed.
I could drive over it in the big truck though, that might be fun.
Running a mix of Blue C-16 in my twin turbo 911 will yield around 38 MPG at highway speeds, I'll take the trade off for the difference in the ride.
Get behind the wheel of a fully loaded GTO rated car and you WILL be surprised. Other than the Ford GT, I don't think any US auto maker produces a true GTO rated vehicle. Some aftermarket makers do, Calloway comes to mind. No, GTO doesn't stand for a Pontiac emblem.
We have lots of wide open spaces and very modern high speed highways around here.
I drive the truck in the city, since we are a sanctuary city and illegals don't need a license or insurance and the cops just have to let them go.
Sorry, but I will never convert from high octane. Each to their own. Just a matter of personal freedoms. That's what America is all about.
John Marnard Keynes, The Economic Consequences of the Peace, 1920, page 235ff
I personally oppose any bailout of GM. AFAIK, most of their operations are overseas... they are not an American company any more.
About 1.00%
