I shipped a coin through paypal shipping, delivery confirmation. The coin has not been received, it's been eleven days. I am able to file through paypal on this one, correct? I plan on waiting a little longer before doing this

Paypal claims are for buyers who do not receive merchandise. You're dealings with paypal as a seller will be to prove the customer received the coin by producing an electronic signature from USPS signature confirmation. Delivery confirmation will not satisfy paypal in a claim. There's also the insurance claim the seller will make if insurance was provided by the seller (either at seller's or buyer's expense).

If there is no electronic signature showing buyer receied coin, ebay will side with buyer. Your only hope of recovering loss is insurance, if it was purchased. As a seller it is in YOUR best interest to have insurance, try to build it into your price so that you are always insured.

Then there's the ebay dispute that the buyer will initiate when he is tired of watiing for the coin. Has to be at least 7 days. 11 days is a bit long for delivery, but postal shipments have been know to be delayed. Don't do anything unless the buyer is jumping up and down. As long as he is being patient, you be patient.

I think you only need electronic sig for over $200. DC is good for everything else for confirming delivery.

$250 and over require signature confirmation....aything less .. require delivery confirmation
