So I bought this Proof set and some brown box Ikes from a customer today....

I never noticed that the 1976 Proof Set had (3) 1975 coins in it....anybody see this before?

    That's what it is...
    I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.

    Your 1975 Ike dollar, although dated 1976, is an identifiable separate variety. It is a type 1.
    The 1976 set would be Type 2.

    The bicentennial coins where first released in 1975- you don't have a 1976 proof set there, you have a 1975 proof set!
