Just buy a contract and when it expires, take delivery. Does it work that way or no?

i think you have to jump through some hoops to prove you are legit
to buy those contracts.
i was reading on the comex website and it appeared i would never be
able to. the references alone made it seem difficult, let alone the other
parts of the pdf qualifications.
but i could be horribly mistaken.
<< <i>don't you have to be a member of comex... or what not as a buyer?

Buy the contract through your qualified broker and pay the small commission. Even if the silver arrives at your doorstep at around $10.50/oz with all things factored in, its still better than the coinshop or ebay asking $16/oz.
I knew it would happen.

in the fine print of such contracts cannot they be paid in cash instead of the metal?
i am pretty sure that is the case and you may end up with a check instead of the metal....

THATS PROOF THAT THE METAL DOES NOT EXIST IN SUFFICIENT QUANTITIES TO COVER ALL THE PAPER BS CONTRACTS!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry about the caps, but im very passionately fed up with this shell game that some people refer to as Wall street!

Paper PMs as the next bubble, perhaps?
<< <i>I am signed up with Lind Waldock and they have told me repeatedly that if I want delivery it can be shipped to my door. They also said that mini-contracts are eligible for delivery also. A mini contract is 1000 ounces, a full one is 5000------------------BigE >>
So if paper silver is $9.80, but physical silver cannot be bought ANYWHERE for under $14.....seems like a no brainer to take your pal up on that deal. What form does the silver come in if you elect to take delivery?
[ I have not seen anyone get bigger gold bars... but I do not see why not]
There is a shipping fee... but it is small...
It really is a great way to buy PM's if you can PAY CASH for the full contract.... and do not care about the brand/looks of the bar[s].
Keep on stack'n!!

Silver is the mortar that binds the bricks of loyalty.
I knew it would happen.

<< <i>On the flip side, when you go to sell that 1000 oz monster, your offers would probably be just the stated future's price. And it could still be manipulated way down while 100 oz bars are fetching 50-100% premiums. Those same short sellers are not going to be paying you physical pricing if there is a physical to paper disconnect at play. It's very possible that the future's price could remain at $10/oz while physical 100oz bars go to $20-$30/oz.

There are certainly less means of dispersal for 1,000oz bars. I've seen a couple on ebay, but I wouldn't sell one there.
never going to have, I guess I can sell
it very cheap.
