I was about to complain about Whitman taking away my beloved score lines, but then I see something t
Literally seconds ago, as I was in a heated discussion with a lawyer in China about transferring the shares of a Chinese company from Mauritius, the mail boy handed me a package. I tore it open, and included within was the Whitman Tokens and Medals book, and the Whitman Gold Dollars book.
I first picked up the Tokens and Medals book, made sure that it was exactly 288 pages, and quickly perused it. As with all books, I checked to see where it was printed, and noted that this book was printed in the China, as expected.
Then I picked up the Gold Dollars book, and immediately noticed that something was wrong. I opened the cover, to see if QDB personalized the book as I asked for. I was delighted that he not only signed it, but also wrote a personal note to Longacre. But I still felt as though something was wrong.
Then I noticed it. There is no score line on the Gold Dollar book, making the book a little more difficult to open. I was about to become enraged and lambaste Whitman for taking away my beloved score line (no doubt to save an extra tenth of a cent or two in production costs). However, I looked further at the title page of the book, and noticed for the first time ever, that this Redbook Series book was printed in the good old USA! I am willing to make a personal sacrifice and live without a score line, if that involves keeping Americans at work in these troubled times. Kudos to Whitman!

LA is apparently quite fussy about the production of his books
Is it OK if I just borrow some from one of your other books instead
