1964 P 25c Washington type "B" reverse....obv/rev die clash


Found a couple of these today while looking through some type "B" reverses I have.......

    I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The lump on the neck is from the reverse (top of wing) clash. The design on the feathers is from George's hair (invert image to understand better) line (where hair meets the field) hit from the obverse to the reverse die.

  • I think you may also have some clash marks on the wing to the viewer's left. It is hard to be sure from the picture.
    That is one beautiful coin.
