I went to the Lansing Mich coin club show today

Lansing is about 125 miles from my home, so this is a fair drive getting to a coin show.
I haven't went to their show in quite a while, and hoped I might find something to add to my collection of Liberty Seated Quarters.
I found the pickins awful slim.
Very few dealers had any. I would guess there were less than 50 Seated Quarters total at the show, all common, almost all low grade.
I looked at every Seated Quarter there, and didn't find anything I wanted.
There seemed to be a lot of Morgan and Peace Dollars, a quite a number of them in slabs. I didn't look to see if there were any better dates available.
There was an good assortment of nice type coins in a couple dealers cases. Someone looking to fill a type set would have had a good chance to find something for their collection.
One dealer had a lot of Barber Halves. All I saw were circulated but the prices seemed quite fair.
After browsing for a while and not finding anything I wanted, I started visiting with some of the dealers.
I was Bourse Chairman for the Muskegon Mich coin club for a dozen years, and I know a lot of the dealers that were there, as many came to my shows.
I spent quite a while talking with them. It was great.
The common thread in the conversations I had, was that things are slowing down on the bourse.
I could see that from the poor turnout there today.
I didn't see anyone selling any gold or silver bullion to the dealers.
Maybe everyone is expecting PMs to go back up.
I made the trip back empty handed, but I enjoyed the day anyway.
