I'm trying to figure out if it's worth acquiring right now, but about the cheapest I've seen 10oz bars is $230-$240/oz, which probably isn't too bad, but...

Unfortunately, as with the rest of the PM's, most wholesalers have a 12 weeks waiting period before you receive your order. I for one, am not willing to wait 12 weeks.

I'd grab those in a flash, if they are "in hand" with the seller.

Palladium coins don't do much for me. Just too dull. Does anyone here actively collect them?

Yes, but only if it were Maples.

BigE, when you say "back of spot", I take that to mean "less than spot". In that case, it was a bargain.

I've been thinking about palladium, but it's had such a large premium over melt (sometimes as much as 50%) for awhile that I had pretty much written it off as a reasonable speculation. I haven't looked at the buy-sell spreads for a long time because the premiums are so high.

Besides that, I'm just not a bar guy, and the Maples are really the only coin I'd consider.

If you want to see a rediculously high premium for Palladium, check APMEX.
