Why is platinum dropping in price??

Also, will the Mint put the 2008 coins back on sale and if so at the current value of platinum, the original 2008 price or some other .....?/

Plat is considered an industrial metal and is used for among other things automobiles. This auto industry is sinking fast so I think Plat may be oversold....

plat was promoted as investment metal when in reality it is a commodity (industrial metal).

the economy slows down, plat tanks.

gold on the other hand gets much more respect. silver less so but
more then plat.

as others have said, just look at the price of rhodium right now
for an easy comparison of how industrial metals perform in this env.
