    Unless you can tell me EXACTLY how much platinum goes into each catalytic converter, its hard to argue WHAT the value of an oz of platinum is really worth. If you think its a bargain at sub $1,000, then you have a tremendous buying opportunity right now.image

    Looks like platinum bullion coins are selling at significant premiums, and there don't seem to be that many available. Similar to gold and silver.

    So whether platinum is oversold or not, depends on whether we're talking about real platinum or paper platinum. Again, similar to gold and silver.

    not i. the price is inline with its current pace of use.
    maybe in a year or two all the car makers will be booming again
    but i doubt it.
