I just realized they don't picture the brands on their gear..gloves, sticks, skates.

I remember part of the fun when collecting modern players was to look at the brand of gear they used, especially sticks. =)

    Beautiful condition Parkhurst's.

Thanks Perkdog. My thrill was that my NEAR MINT-MINT+ 8.5 1953 PARKHURST 36 EARL REIBEL is now the highest graded on the population report. Previous the high was 8.

Funny thing is I can relate 100%! I just recently had my first sub in years-all reviews and two of my cards got the .5 bump up both are 8.5's now- 1 has only 1 higher the other is the highest graded on the pop report as well! Its a great feeling huh!

Those are some sweet looking cards. Where did you find them?

Nice grades, and a highest graded, congrats. How many cards into this set are you at?

I just started to build this set in the raw a few months back. I've only found 18 cards so far, but for this set I'm going to try and build it the old fashioned way. No ebay, no computer, just card shops and I found 4 in a antique store.

    Good luck guy.

I have the complete set. I started on this set back in the early 1980's. I had a friend introduce me to live hockey and I was hooked.
I am thinking about submitting 10 or 20 more next month on the registry special.

Most of the cards were acquired at the major card shows back in the 80's

Yeah, I don't know what the populations or marketplace for '53 Parkies are like anymore, but that's probably still a huge card. I'd take it straight to auction.

Outstanding first submission and really nice Parkies.. I think most of us can agree that our first submissions were absolute flops.
