686 Fakes for sale on eBay – from one seller

A Chinese seller is offering 686 fakes for sale, of which the following is an example:

Although REPLICA is supposedly marked on each piece there is little doubt
that the Chinese sellers will be more than happy to furnish specimens without
such markings.
Most of the copies are U.S. (especially Morgan dollars) but there is considerable
other material as well.

They are all pretty good examples..... And none have came with the required "copy" stamp
There was a thread started months ago that showed pics of their press setup...
He also offers them in 90% silver if that's what you want.
<< <i>Does anybody even buy these things......especially for $50 a pop!!!
He offers the non silver for .99 cents with 3 dollar shipping.... buyers of the 90% are more likely
to be the sellers who are out to rip a newbie buyer.....

Every Raw Coin is suspect. No stamp of "Copy"!
Aren't these coins still legal tender!?
Why isn't the Treasury Dept. all over Ebay and the seller??
This act of debasement to the coinage is almost as bad as the US Congress!
<< <i>that is one of the reasons i do not buy coins like this, they could be either, someone needs to send one to be graded. >>
PCGS bought a large group of dies and fakes that were offered for sale on the internet and on the streets of Hong Kong.
They set up a large display at the Long Beach California show...
It's the uninformed who will suffer... I bought three of these to learn what to look for.. The Peace dollar fooled a few on
the forum... One member noticed the SMALL hump missing from the nose that gave it away... They are getting better at this
<< <i>I'm sure he could fester up one of these without the replica sign. Kinda scary, they can duplicate any US coin. Where are the Feds? >>
I would hardly consider that 55/55 a duplicate!
The name is LEE!
Give me a real Coin anyday. I'll keep on driving my 1972 classic Ford Pinto, secure in the knowledge that I'm helping to keep some Dealer in a leased BMW. At least one of us will ride in style.
This copy stuff is for those who would deny an easy living wage to hard working Coin Dealers. It's just wrong.
Just curious...L
