IS ebay still slow for everyone???

It seems that prices overall are off about 10% to 15% from earlier in the year and prices really havn't picked up when we entered september. Is everyone else experiencing the same results? If I remember correctly from last year it did seem like prices picked up in the fall, but I'm not sure what part of fall.

<< <i>I get horrible results 9 out of 10 times by selling a coin with 99 cents no reserve...used to not be that way at all .. I think it has some to do with the new search and alot of people don't know how to opt out, people get frustrated and confused and give up >>
I can't think of another successful company that has messed itself up as quickly as eBay has. Virtually all of the changes they have made over the past year or so have alienated their most loyal buyers and sellers.

I have to agree with you at least in part.
I know that I have "happened" across coins that should have shown up in my daily searches but which did not which leads me to believe that eBay is definitely controlling the search results. As a buyer, I don;t care for this and as a seller, it makes me wonder how many folks are not "seeing" my coins?
I still use eBay for their convenience in buying and selling but it sure looks like the beginnings of a slow death spiral.................

Same thing for me, no email alerts since the change. I even created new ones hoping to
override the problem, but no response from those also.
Does any one know how to correct this problem?
Also, I did find the very small 'opt out ' on the right side area of the search screen, clicked it and I'm now back to the original search screen.
<< <i>It all depends what u are selling ... anything bullion related is "flying of the table" >>
If you can sell bullion at a profit on ebay then the demand is whacky strong. figure in ebay fees and paypal and now you're up toward 8%. That's quite a premium for bullion--and the seller might want to make as much as ebay? Nah, that ain't fair. --Jerry

<< <i>eBay isn't what it used to be. Too few true auctions are leading to a drop off in interest. People just aren't looking there anymore. >>
My last sale of 20+ coins, starting at .99 cents, completed on Sunday, finished $500 or almost 20% over expectations. So much for your theory.

I do a daily search on all raw Buffs from VF, some expensive cases F, to BU and average each in the assigned grade since April. I've said before and I'll say it again, now is not the time to sell Buffs; it's time to buy. Besides biddiots winning bids for 30 dollar coins at 100 or more(I do see this a lot) I see very few Buffs go up in price and when they do they fall again in seven days time, the next averaging cycle. Sometimes I bid too and when I do I snipe the last average and win the bid 98% of the time. For the last 2 weeks I have not been getting searches. eBay keeps saying they are trying to fix it and they are aware that other members have the same problem. I say if you want my bid then fix it. This is drastic for eBay, this broken feature is costing them big time. I would not be shocked if eBay goes belly up(not over just this). I think coinzip.com should find a way to directly pay through Pay-pal; soon, ASAP. GET ON IT!!!!
