    What a captivating story image

While he may be a nice guy and all, chances are he may not be. I hate when people try to guilt others into helping them. Why is everyone looking for a handout? You know, I'm 22, work full-time, go to UMD part-time, have a relationship and just outprocessed the Air Force and had to start a new career and I've never asked anyone for help. The only time I've ever felt weak was when I was told a week before my leave to see my family after neglecting to not vist, that I was deploying to Iraq and then I did and eventually went over a year without any physical contact. I could've used someone's shoulder then maybe, but c'mon, student loans? Who among us all doesn't have those/has had those? Its part of life, deal with it.

Sorry if I may seem cold-hearted, but too many of these listings have gone up, as of late.

    Scam!

This has got to be a scam since this fellow obviously does not have any student loans to pay off as I believe the requirements for basic english are a bit higher than what he exhibits in the text of his story!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    Two words, huh?

    OK.

    How about, "HA HA".

"FAT CHANCE" also comes to mind.

Geez, this moron must think this hasn't already been done a zillion times before. Well, at least he's only asking a hundred bucks. Last time I saw a similar "begging" auction, it was like five figures for a common Zincoln.

<< <i>I am going to put the penny in a nice frame if it sells. >>

Alrightey, then, diddlehead. Put it in a heavy, solid gold frame, and I'll bid.

  • Hey these ploys do work on ebay...maybe not with a penny but I do remember a haunted ghost cane, wind from Katrina, dirt and other odd pieces from devestated lands.

But maybe a haunted penny will work........oh where did I put my extra pennies image

Ok, remember... this is TWO WORDS or less.

    This is the prize.

My initial intent was to post this coin in Bochiman's thread for toned halves. It came with a hoard of coins I purchased a few years ago. I've decided to give this coin away to the funniest TWO WORD description.
ACADEMIC PROBATION and Brooklyn Bridge are very good answers, as are SCAM and diddlehead. image

to the victor go the spoils and I'm leaning toward "academic probation" as the winner of the "Cataloquer's Contest"

It's a decent collectible and don't ever let anyone tell you what is worth collecting but always beware the Line of Crap™ with people selling their wares.

I get free webspace here. Thankfully I am not PC, but then again, I ain't running for anything and I only run from trouble. It it gets too hot in the kitchen, carolj has an extinquisher.

Now about that winner of the contest:

Here are my favorite 2 word descriptions for the auction (not the seller or the coin) I am not scoffing either. I am being amused by U.S. coin sellers on eBay.

    1) Academic Probation
    2) Alrightey Diddlehead
    3)Loooo-ser
    4)Getta job
5)Non-Cents (should be WHICH CENT or Witch Scent) image depends on your vocabulary image

    The photo

    The auction description :

    2006 Penny Must See !!!!

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. How many people always say a penny is not worth anything? Well it is wether is holds sentimental value or $ value. How many times have you walked by a penny on the ground thinking it not worth anything? Chances are a lot. I always pick them up, a penny saved is a penny earned, right?! If you think about it......, You are basically a penny richer and a penny closer to your dreams you have in life. So basically thats what I am trying to do! My dream is pay off my student loans and make myself and others that are a part of this known for something that people will talk about forever. What not a better way than EBAY!!

So here is the deal! You are bidding on a 2006 one cent, U.S penny. This penny is just like any other penny in circulation. I found it walking to class the other day. This penny does not mean much right now but I am trying to make it the next big story on the world news. I am going to put the penny in a nice frame if it sells. I know this sounds crazy but I think it is worth a shot. If you have any questions feel free to email me through Ebay. Again, thanks for your time and looking at my auction.

The picture is not of the actual penny but is looks identical to it.

I would completely , with open arms, welcome any ebay seller to come out here and take a little correction.
