If the Mets, Phillies and Brewers all end the season with the same record..

Not sure if this was answered in another thread (besides me answering it)


The Mets and the Phillies would play a 1 game PO (163rd game if you will)

The loser of that game then plays the Brewers for the WC.

It is supposed to rain all weekend here in NY so that will muddy things up even further.

Do you have a link to that Steve? Because from what I've read, the Mets would win the division because they had the better record against the Phillies heads up, and the Phillies would play the Brewers in one game for the playoff spot.

The only way the Mets would win the division straight up is if the Mets and the Phillies tie and the Brewers are not
in the mix either way.


This by virtue of them winning the season series.


I am hoping for a 3 way tie btw I'd like to see this play out.

I wouldn't mind a comfortable last week of the season where my team's players get a little rest before the post season.

Of course, last night's Brewers game and it's phenominal finish was easily the best time I've ever had at the ballpark.

Frankly, and I may never say this again (LOL)...half the fun, the thrill, is the pennant chase itself. Yes, of course winning the pennant is better but the "thrill of the chase" ain't bad, and it's great to be in the chase...win or lose.
