Ont the 15th of every month, go to the profile setting and you'll have that option.

You better be quick as well.. Sometimes the window of oppurtunity is small....

Make sure you have it sized properly as well.. I think it is 100X100 max size.

Load your pic to photobucket.com and size it there....

You can change your avatar at any time, just by picking another off the list.

However, if you meant how do you get a custom avatar, then, as the others mentioned, you have to be on the forums during business hours Pacific time on Icon Upload Day, which is the 15th of each month.

(Or usually the day before the weekend or holiday, if the 15th happens to fall on one of those).

Max size is 100 x 100 pixels, as previously mentioned, and there is also a maximum filesize of 10 KB.
