Is this an AU coin and would rim hits stop it from Grading

I picked this up amongst other assembled mish mash of coins and bills and found this in the lot.
Looks like a nice au

Your thoughts on grade and wether it is gradeable in a PCGS slab with some rim hits ?/

I'm going to guess yes it's AU, and yes it will go into a holder.
    When in doubt, don't.

Check those spots to make sure they are not "active" and give it an acetone bath before you submit, but I don't see anything that would keep it from holdering.

I think it would slab, but IMO this is an ideal coin for something like a 7070.
  • Good looking coin. But im not sure whats going on under the lettering of "America". Is that just the photo?

Edit to add: Coins like this are notorious for comming back BB'd with the "altered surface" excuse!

It's a lot closer to AU than this one, but it might come back "questionable color".
