Not sure why you'd even need to ask being that the seller has zero feedback and more importantly is from China. Scary how it looks so real though. Not sure why PCGS isn't trying to force eBay to take action on this. I mean eBay is clearly facilitating the sale of knock-offs of their brand. The companies in the fashion industry didn't put up with that.
Paul...There is no question about the coin being "questionable"...
However...after taking a close look at the pic...it looks like the seller got hold of a legit slab and carefully cut out the center area and has placed the coin in the now missing area. Notice that there is no plastic in between the coin and the camera... and there is a slight roughness to the plastic edge and no sign of the gasket at the coin's rim...
At least, that's how it looks to me...
But I do wonder, "Millertime"... what have you been drinking? ... that you would even be considering a coin (and a Trade Dollar of all things) from China...
...either you are(were) drunk or very bored...
...or maybe you are(were) just up too late...
Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free

<< <i>With frosty surfaces and a minimal number of minor abrasions, this coin comes highly recommended for inclusion in a Mint State type set. Rather well produced for a business strike Trade Dollar, the definition is sharp in virtually all areas on both the obverse and the reverse. Minimally toned, and actually presenting as brilliant at the most direct angles. Cert Number: please email advice, very happy for you! >>

Yes.
All the alarms are going off...location, feedback number, poor pix, censored cert#. And still 23+ bidders and bids over $400.
Why would a deceitful seller clip the cert# anyway? You'd think duplicating a real one would be more convincing and not that hard?

Coin collecting is not a hobby, it's an obsession !
New Barber Purchases
Maybe PCGS needs to put out some eBay police to keep these things from ruining the market!
Oh, well, maybe I can win the next one when it appears next time being "sold" by another overseas vendor...
