Another PSA 8 went for $371.66 a couple of weeks ago on sleebay. Maybe the recent winners are hoping for some 8.5 bumpage? Maybe someone else could chime in here.

Or maybe there are some rumors of Ron Cey getting into the HOF by the Vetrans Committee down the road...lol image
  • could also be the seller's impeccable 9000+ feedback score without a single neg. i'd pay a tad extra for that. those corners would put me off that card tho.....

Well it was already graded by the new gradings standards based on the flip, so it does not appear that PSA thought it was 8.5 worthy. Also agree on the corners, top left looks suspect.
  • Lower left looked nicked as well.

I have no first hand knowledge of this, but I did just purchase a PSA 9 Schmidt Rookie and one could say that I overpaid for my card. I loved the look of the card though, and had wanted the card for some time, so I bit the bullet and purchased. I can oly hypothesize that this might had been what the buyer was thinking?
