    Based on all of the petroleum and chemical facilities located in the Houston Ship Channel, Ike does have potential to really mess up the economy.

    It seems to be getting worse as the hours go by, LA is taking a beating, and 11,000 people stayed on Galveston. This is not good.

    I heard some on the news saying worst case scenario gas could double or triple(doubtful but possible). I filled both cars and the 6 - 5gal gas cans in the garage and there are gas stations out of gas here already. In Florida!

    At 3.43 here in Tulsa that may be the best deal around tomorrow morning... This thing SUCKS

    It's funny how the refiners got on the news and said there was an ample supply in the system.
    At worse there would be spot outages due to panic buying. But that there will be fuel available
    to re-supply without any major delays...

    Then two minutes later the same damn news anchor was saying there will be wide spread shortages...image

    I don't know who is worse.. The media or the speculators..... I am tired of them both...

    They showed people in Galveston just walking along the waterfront/breakwater - tooling, no excitement no big winds or waves....

    Media loves to hype all this stuff, no matter that they miss the panic predictions the vast majority of the time...
