Governor autograph from each state quarter collection?

Has anyone collected slabbed state quarters with the autograph of the governor from each state (at the time the quarter came out) on the slab? It's too late to start one now, but I thought about that yesterday and I thought that would have been a cool way to collect them. Did anyone do it?

BTW, I think you have a great idea there and that maybe you should talk to PCGS. After all, an autographed "Governor's" Collection might just bring in some big money. They are the ones that 'chose' the design. Why not have an autographed edition.
The name is LEE!

Just do a search on state goveners and look at their trem in office.
Probably most states still have the same govener.
PS: I have only seen one autographed pcgs label and that was by former mint director Donna Pope and I someday would like to get one, but I'm not shure if it was a wet signature. I would not want a printed on copy.

Hey, that should be an easy autograph! Our former governor Edwin Edwards is in the federal pen as well- maybe you could do a state quarter subset of federally incarcerated former governors!

I wonder if the future ex-governor will be joining him there.

I knew a lot of the designs sucked so bad as to be criminal, but didn't realize they actually put the governors in jail over them
hmmm.....maybe someone can get our governor there too......
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

He left office just before the IL quarter, but would be a funny one to grab.

This is a bit OT but a guy I work with had a similar goal. He collects sports memorabilia and would go around to shows to collect the autographs of players with a common achievement, such as the 500 home run club. It can take years to complete. He said he had two identical bats with all the signatures he needed, except for Willie Mays. And all the players had signed using the same blue Sharpie that he had asked them to use. He paid his money, waited in line, and when he got to the front he politely asked Willie to sign with the blue Sharpie. May said "This one's good enough" and signed with his own black Sharpie. My friend was horrified! Then he had to wait in line to get the second bat signed, because that was the rule. He again asked Mays to please sign with the blue Sharpie, and got the same result as the first time. Needless to say, my friend doesn't think as much of his childhood hero as he once did!
Good luck with your project, and hopefully you'll have better results!
<< <i>Thanks. Where do you find out who the governor was for each state when their quarter's were released? If they aren't in office any more, how do you contact them? >>
The governor who did ours is in a Federal Penitentiary somewhere.......
Seriously.

Ex-Governor Rowland (Conn.) got out of prison not too long ago. He probably has some time on his hands to do a few autographs.

Actually, Your Madness, its our current Emperor of Illinois, Spoiledbratovich the First, who would sign them (if you can give him a bribe to do such.) As to our ex-gov, I'm only 1/2 hour away from him (he's in Terre Haute, IN - as Steve Martin calls it "The Armpit of America") and I think this is the same jail that the OKC bomber Timothy McVeigh was taken care of, if you know what I mean.

Well, I was right. It's too late to start it now.
If you would do one, would you do just a silver proof set or P,D clad set or clad proof?
edit to add: Or first day coin covers?

It's at least as interesting as the designer autographs, or the autographs of people totally unrelated to the coins, like the Jessica Lynch ones, or whatever her name is.
