    Be safe over there. We're starting to get some wind and stuff here in Statesboro, about 40 miles west of Savannah.

  • It's perdicted to go right over my house in Virginia, I'm in upstate New York now but I hope the wife remembers to save the collection if needed. It's not expected to be as bad as Isabel was - but only time will tell.

  • It's heading straight for us, about 100 miles west of Wilmington, NC.

    Hoping it stays weak, or moves through quickly.

    Hanna is nothing...watch for her brother Ike. He packs a mean punch and is headed for South Florida...just what we need, a hurricane. woo-hoo.

    I'm right here at Wilmington, NC @ the beach. It's just a baby, but we do need the rain! image

    Now I would be worried about Ike!

  • We've been inundated with rain for the last 12 hours, and the winds have been 30-40 mph for the last several hours.

    Looks like the eye just missed us by about 30 miles. Amazingly, the power is still on, though it flickered several times lately. It's still dark, so I can't assess damage right now, but it looks like it's not going to be anything major.

  • hopefully everyone will mainly just get much-needed rain;

    hang in there you guys!
