    "HEATSEAL THERNAL LAMINATING POUCHES"

Can anyone who speaks that language translate for me? Thanks in advance.

I would love to see someone try and "crack" that one out!!
  • If I read that correctly, the card is laminated.

Roughly translated it means "bottom of card trimmed"

WOW, I can't believe someone did this...

It's his first card from 1965, making it, technically, his 1965 rookie card. Any subsequent 1965 cards of his wouldn't be considered a 1965 rookie.

  • Actually it's not even a real 1965 Mantle. Look at the borders very carefully and you can see that it has been trimmed. Also look at the back and you can see the black outline that was supposed to be trimmed around.

I'm not defending his scamming, but he's in Puerto Rico so it's likely that english is a 2nd language for him. I don't know that I would do as well in Spanish.

The Babe Ruth Goudey he sold for a couple hundred looks real, and it was in the same crappy holder

I have a few relatives that speak broken English and if they misspell a word, it's usually spelled as they pronounce it.

With that in mind, this guy spelled the word "pouch" correctly in the title, then as "ponches" in the description.

He can spell "laminated" correctly, but misspells "thermal" as thernal?

None of his misspelled words, of which there are many, have any Spanish (the official language of Puerto Rico) detections.

Sorry, but what's the Spanish word for "scammer"?

The grammar is his way of looking stupid, so you think you're getting a deal from someone who doesn't know what he's doing.

Nobody can actually be this dumb, can they?
  • Trimmed with scissors AND laminated. This guy is awesome. The only way his auctions would rock more is if he took photos of himself holding the card while not wearing a shirt.
Nolan Ryan & Edgar Martinez are my favorite players...

"THIS CARD CAN NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE PONCH"

Does that mean Eric Estrada comes along with the card?image

It's funny, every time I saw that Vacu-Seal (or whatever it was) infomercial I would always laught because they would recommend storing a baseball card collection that way. I guess someone thought it was a good idea.

That guy sells a lot of fakes. I would bet none of the cards he sells are real. I didn't look through his recent auctions, but he used to list them as fakes in his listings. He had some very nice looking Tom Seaver rookie fakes and most of the other big stars as well. But he wasn't deceptive about it, he'd advertise them as fakes.
