Just another eBay moron

This guy was the topic of a previous thread. His account was temporarily suspended for shilling and using stolen photos. Now he has an auction with a stolen photo from Americanmemorabilia.com and wasn't even smart enough to crop out the website address with the copyright.

  • perkdogperkdog Posts: 29,339 ✭✭✭✭✭
Ok maybe this is a stupid question, forgive my ignorance but these type of auctions seem pointless, how can a seller hope to get away with this? Talk about a no brainer as far as detective work goes- a person wins the auction for several thousand dollars- pays and gets no card then copies the auction and shows it to authorities, its so easy to see that it was a highjacked pic it would seem like an automatic jail sentence for fraud?
  • Zep, that was funny......If you bid 2 million dollars and if you win I will chip in to help you raise the funds

For some reason, I knew that response was coming. Makes you feel all warm and tingly when legit auctions are pulled and obviously fraudulent listings are allowed to continue.

"...it would seem like an automatic jail sentence for fraud? ..."

    ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Neither EBAY nor PayPal has a clue as to the real identities of the non-amateur scamsters,

The best they can serve up to LE is some IP-addys that have been multi-masked.

Pre-Paid debit cards and online-checking accounts make moving the stolen money EASY.

Also, a pro will offer the winning bidder a LARGE discount, if the sucker will mail a check
    or MO.

EBAY has no interest in stopping the SCAMS. If they did, they would do it; without their
    customers having to report them.

These memorbillia scams must be from other countries as the poor grammar and idiocy of the auctions and their willingness to try the same scam over and over smells like a foreign fraud ring. I wonder how many times they have to get shut down before they try another area of collectibles. If they keep trying does that mean card collectors are dumber than most?

This guy has a large series of vids about how EBAY works.

He is NOT a crook, although some of his vids do show folks
    how to do bad things.

His vids sometimes contain mild profanity. If that bothers you,
    it's best not to watch.

    This one is "Shilling 102".......

I would bid on the card, but it says that the cheapest shipping for me would be $16. So I am out!

I am going to look around and try to find were he got this scan from.

Now that he is trying to cheat PayPal out of their take, EBAY will likely cancel the listing.

    ........

**************HEY ATTENTION ATTENTION ALL BIDERS<*******NO PAY PAL ********* ONLY MONEY ORDERS, CASH, OR CASHIERS CHECK*********'

They absolutely will NOT allow PayPal to be excluded from a SCAM.

So far, the Aaron scam is still OK. PayPal is in THAT mix.
