Experts, help me figure out if these are worth anything or throw away. DU warning

Hi all, received these from a family member but no NOTHING about stamps.

Are these worth anything or do they go in the trash? They don't seem valuable to me.
Many more stamps that I haven't taken a pic but if someone could look at the pics and tell me if there is anything good that would be great.

Nothing that appears to be of any major value to me. The mint 3-cent U.S. stamps can still be used as postage.
Regardless, don't throw them in the trash. Donate them to a local youth stamp collecting club.

    thanks for the reply coinpictures.

Those George Washington stamps, they are not worth anything at all as well?

Anyone else have any opinions. Unlike coins and bullion which you can sell to pawn shops, coin stores, etc where can I sell stamps to?

    thanks

The George Washingtons look common. Stamps are not like coins or currency. Only scarce or rare stamps have any significant value. Many coin shops will also deal in stamps. As previously noted, you might have more fun donating what you have to a local youth stamp collecting club. The mint US stamps could be used for postage although they won't have tagging so you would need to have at least one stamp with tagging on your envelope. You can search older threads on this forum for more info on tagging.

  • Another option is to list the whole thing on Ebay as a single lot.

never the trash can, in the worst case give them to some young kid who shows a lil bit of interest
  • Yes....don't trash them. You never know you may have an oddity with the older 2 & 3c Washingtons or the 2c Jackson. If don't want to invest the time and researching though, Ebay is the way to go. I once found a Scott 359 in a lot of stamps that was basically "junk", so you never can tell. GL.
