My first foreign coin!

I don't count that Loonie I found on a sidewalk-- I dug this out of the Vargas Middle School's pile of dirt from a huge remodeling project.


Obverse: 25 Sentimo, "Republika ng Pilipinas", year mark
Reverse: logo of the Bankgo Sentral ng Pilipinas

Shape: round
Edge: plain
Material: brass
Composition: 65% copper, 35% zinc

Weight: 3.8 grams
Diameter: 20 mm

Imagine! Some family from the Philippines, visiting the US, then dropping the coin before they could take it back home and spend it.

    It does... not sure what's up with that. They also look, new, like the golden dollar, all brassy.
