I always liked these overgraded coins. There are a bunch of these 1945-S Mercs. Most of the ones I've seen are in NGC holders with big grades. The toning is super though the following coins should not be MS 68 in my opinion.

That's the 1887 "GG" is from my love token set.




Greg and I met this weekend in his hometown of Asheville, NC, which happens to be my past hometown, too. I was up there for a family reunion. (Coincidentally, there was a coin show there that weekend which I was unable to attend.)

I was staying in a campground that was pretty dark, so we went down to the nearest Waffle House to sit in a booth where the light was better.

I had discovered that I had two 1887s, and Greg had an 1885, which was the last post-1881 date I needed, so I swapped him the "GG" 1887 (and kept the other 1887 I had for my set).

Hence the "LordMarcovan/Waffle House" pedigree.

Actually, the winner of the giveaway will be the FOURTH forum member to own the love token. Its full provenance is savoyspecial-lordmarcovan-Blackhawk.
