1964 #50 MANTLE PSA 8.5 on EBAY----ends today

Has anyone taken a good look at this card. My computer is not the greatest. It looks overgraded. It does not look in line with the 8.5 grade. Any opinions and a link would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Yes let me do the SEARCHING and LINKING for a card I could not care less about. Come on Mickey, you're better than this.

I would do him the favor of linking it, but it looks like he wants someone to search eBay for it too.

I am at work. The computer I am on will not let me access EBAY. If I could access EBAY from work I would be broke. Just wanted a few opinions.
    Thanks,

Looks like a poor scan of a terrific, centered card. Would be curious to know if the back is nearly as well-centered.

Me too. I don't understand why so many sellers don't scan the backs of graded cards? Are they hiding something or too lazy? Maybe because its another 15 cents? Is it because they are using turbo lister?

Why do people scan instead of taking pictures??

I agree - you can really get a better idea of a card's grade from a picture...

  • I wish more people would scan the backs of cards they sell on eBay...

    Here is my own example:

    image

Yeah, the front is perfect and the flip says PSA 10... but c'mon! I bought that and frowned big when I flipped it over. Sure wish the seller had scanned BOTH SIDES. Nowadays, I do tend to prefer auctions that show both sides.
Nolan Ryan & Edgar Martinez are my favorite players...

  • I clicked on the link and the first thing I saw was 4SC and immediately closed the page. Didn't even need to look at the card to see why it is an 8.5. BTW, TBAG you are a dork. Have a good day everyone.

Slightly confused about this -- are we praising 4sc or denigrating? Obviously I missed something along the way.

I'm pretty sure the guys are saying that 4SC gets the 10s that most of us wouldn't .... the big hitters always do!

Ah, I see. Well anyway, the scan is not the best for judging the corners and edges (rough factory cut on left) but, there's no arguing with that centering, tough on a '64 Mantle.

I just purchased this card from 4SC and now I have to send it back into PSA. In my opinion there is no way this should be a 9 with the stain above Bradys head. I am hopeing it is just a fingerprint because I do like the card and I got a good price on it.

    4 Sharp Corners is PSA's seller's ID. (LOL) >>

With everything that's been said lately about the seller 4 sharp corners in other threads, im not sure PSA would care for your accusation on their own message board.
