NICKELS

1913 Type I Buff NGC MS63. Looks to grade at least a point better. Well struck, virtually mark free, with light tone. $69
1925 P Buffalo ICG MS64. Virtually mark free, lightly toned Gem in salmon/grey, with an appealing orange peel texture, looks like a matte proof. Well struck at the peripheries, but a tad soft at center, and probably the reason for the conservative grade. $175
1935 D Buffalo ICG MS63 $70
1938 D Buffalo HALLMARK MS65. Quaint old Hallmark holder, MS67 luster, full strike, beautifully toned in pinkish gold with hints of blue amongst the devices. A few tics on the devices, but methinks this is MS66 all day. $95

DIMES

1857 Half Dime NGC MS63. Old NGC holder. This is a solid, mark free MS64. Some wonderfully original mottled deep toning in sea green, blue, gold and amber cover both sides. An exceptionally well struck example, with die clash on both sides strong enough to be considered a mint error. The reverse also shows some parallel diagonal lines, mint made, and probably done to efface the clashing on the die. Oh, great luster too! Very neat coin $345.

Complete BU sets of Roosies 1946 -1964 PDS, old time sets in Whitman albums, grading MS63-MS65, nice sets. REDISTRIBUTION SPECIAL $149 delivered. These are "bid" at $165
Complete BU set of Roosies 1946 -1964 PDS, another, some album toning on perhaps half the coins, below "bid" $155.

1837 Capped Bust Dime Choice Fine 15, An original piece, with that perfect circ look. Thin crossbar 8 variety $60
1916 Barber Dime PCI MS63. Lustrous and well struck golden vanilla colored coin. Grade's right, and looks nice. $150

Merc "Short Set", 14 coins, missing the '42P. All are PCGS MS64FB, with the exception of '44P, '44S,'45P, '45S, which are PCGS MS64. All are bright white and very lustrous, and at least solid for the grade, with the great majority having been graded quite strictly. I will include a raw '42P to make this a complete 15 coin set. $295

1917 P Merc DGS MS62. Bright white and fully struck, I had to look a couple of times to see why this wasn't 64FSB. Reason is a faint abrasion on the cheek and jaw, difficult to spot, but I disagree with the lack of FSB notation, as there is a hit, but it does not interrupt the continuity of the bands, viewed under 40X magnification. $49
1921 D Merc DGS VG8 "Rim Damage" nice original F12/VG10 coin with a minor rim bump by the date. $95
1935 P Merc PCGS MS64FB Brilliant with atouch of hazy origianl tone, fully rounded bands. $30 ON HOLD
1937 P Merc PCGS MS65FB Immaculate and looks 66. One tiny tic beneath the eye. Brilliant, lustrous, and fully struck. $46 SOLD
1939 D Merc PCGS MS65 One scuff on the bands keeping this bright white fully struck Merc from FSB, and nice for the grade. $28 ON HOLD
1939 D Merc PCGS MS65 Brilliant white and lustrous with a light scuff on the cheek. Well struck. $30
1940 D Merc PCGS MS64FB Very nice for the grade. Brilliant with just a wisp of patina. Clean and fully struck. $25

QUARTERS

1836 DGS VF20 "lightly cleaned". Some luster remains, and the detail may be a tad better than the numeric "20" noted. Lightly toned, and not overly bright from the cleaning. A couple of tiny rim nicks are noted. A nice example for that Dansco 7070. $138

HALVES

1838 Reeded Edge half, ANACS AU50. Appropriately graded, in an early holder (cert #451143). Even deep golden grey tone over both sides, decent luster and light wear. A nice and crusty example. $325 ON HOLD

Nearly complete Walker "Short Set", containing 17 of the 20 dates. Missing are ; 1941D, 1941S, 1947D. All are brilliant, flashy white, clean and well struck PCGS MS64. When complete, this is a "Box of Twenty" that, in my opinion, truly represents solid value and minimal downside. $1199

Starter "Short Set"; 3 nice BU Walkers, 1943P,1945 P, 1946D, all brilliant MS63 with a touch of tone at the rims. Housed in a blue 1941-1947 Whitman with the plastic sleeves. $83

1947 P Walker PCGS MS64 White. $57
1947 P Walker DGS MS63 Light tone, clean and well struck, looks MS64. $50

1963D NGC MS64, Brilliant $15 (2 available)
1963P NGC MS64, Brilliant $15 (1 available)
1949 P Franklin ANACS (new) MS64 FBL. That's what it is, and brilliant. $78
1949 D Franklin NGC MS62 FBL. A few reeding marks front and back set the grade, but great strike and brilliant, certainly looks better. $61
1949 S ICG MS62. Brilliant white with nice luster, and certainly looks 63 to me, with bell lines that are very close to full. Three small patches of what appears to be die grease, two on the obverse, one on the reverse. I can't imagine why these were not removed with a quick acetone dip before submitting, but that is something definitely on someone's to-do list before putting it in their Dansco! $76
1949 S Franklin PCGS MS64. Lustrous silvery grey with a light russet speckled overtone. Average marks for grade, with a strong strike on the periphery, but a bit soft at centers, as usual. Faint print at lower obverse. Nice original coin. $93
1949 S Franklin ICG MS63 FBL $105
1949 S Franklin ICG MS64 Bright white with great satiny luster. A couple of scuffs on the bell, but very choice. $89
1949 P Franklin NGC MS63FBL. Brilliant w/ light gold rim tone on rev. One line of 4 reeding marks on Ben's jowl apparently the reason for the grade, looks better, with a great strike. The reverse is no question MS65. Prorata roll bid is $65. This $69
1949 P Franklin ANACS (old) MS63. Brilliant with some reddish gold rim tone and nice luster. Bell lines are full, but not noted (too early?), some hits on the obverse are commensurate with the grade, reverse grades 64. $55
1950 P Franklin ICG MS64. Predominately white with a bit of haze on the obverse and some speckling on the reverse. Very clean with nice luster, and an excellent strike (hair wisp is clearly defined), but not FBL. $45
1950 D Franklin NGC MS64. A bit scuffy for the grade, lustrous with a faint tan patina. $37
1951 D Franklin ICG MS63FBL. Lustrous white with nice bell lines. A faint white print impression is seen on both sides. $55
1951 D Franklin ICG MS63FBL. Lustrous white with nice bell lines. Faint white print pattern is seen, some reeding marks on Ben's dome. $49
1951 D ICG MS64FBL. Lustrous white with a bit of haze, and a tiny splash of gold at ST in TRUST, and correcponding reverse area. Clean and well struck, with very nice bell lines. $77
1952 S Franklin PCGS MS64. Crusty old mint set toner, with a not so attractively toned obverse, datk and mottled, and a reverse with is much nicer, mostly white with some golden russet at the rims. Very clean beneath the toning. $77
1952 D Franklin PCGS MS64FBL. Brilliant and approriately graded (Omaha Bank Hoard) with great bell lines. $46
1953 S Franklin NGC MS65. Mark free with satiny surfaces. Faint tan patina with an above average strike. $69
1955 Franklin NGC MS65. Obvious mint set example, with deep, beautiful, copper/orange/blue on the obverse, with a similar but much lighter reverse. Well struck and quite clean, with one mark on the cheek noted, as well as a thin planchet line in front of the ear, but appropriately graded. $54
1955 "Bugs Bunny". ICG MS63. Lustrous white and attractive, with some bright gold at the rims. $35
1955 "Bugs Bunny". ICG MS63. Lustrous white with two small patches of tone on the obverse. Close to FBL. $37
1957 Franklin NGC MS65. Unquestionable mint set coin, with typical colors in blue/charcoal/tan/pinkish orange, particularly attractive on the obverse for this date. Very clean obverse with a few thin scratches on the bell limiting the grade. In an older, but not 1st gen., fat NGC holder. $44
1957 P Franklin PCGS MS65. Another typically toned example from a mint set, but lacking the haziness most frequently encountered. Some scattered, tiny tics on the head and on the bell, and without the color, would probably grade MS64. Very nice eye appeal, tho. $44
1957 D Franklin PCGS MS65FBL. Typically toned (for this date) mint set example, with a hazy greyish/tan/blue patina over both sides, with bright orange highlights really jumping out with a slight tilt under a light. Arguably not FBL, it seems PCGS is very lenient on this date in particular for this designation. Very clean surfaces, however, with just a couple thin circular scratches on the upper bell limiting the grade. $49
1958 Franklin PCGS MS65. Lightly toned mint set example, which is predominately a silvery pewter, with irridescent gold/yellow/green/blue at the rims and extending towards the centers. The portrait is very clean, though there is a well hidden, thin scratch behind the bust. Again, if brilliant and raw, I would probably call this MS64, but will concur with PCGS in the final assessment given it's superior eye appeal.$39
1958 D Franklin PCGS MS65. Typically toned example from a mint set, with a pewter/orange/russet obverse, and a similar, lighter reverse sporting a bright red/copper crescent at the left rim. Very clean, with a few thin scratches on the bell limiting the grade. $43
1960 D Franklin PCGS MS64FBL. Fully brilliant and fully struck, bright white example. This is just about as good as it gets in this grade, really making claims to the next grade up, and deserving of the FBL designation. Really nice example for a brilliant set, and a huge value, as MS65 nonFBL examples are bid at $300. This contender, $49
1963 D NGC MS63FBL, Brill, nice thin red rim crescent on obv. Obv baggy, rev gem, $19

1926 D Peace ICG MS62. Brilliant, lustrous and well struck, this looks better. Scuff by date apparently keeping the grade down. $95 SOLD
1928 S Peace ANACS MS61. Why did they grade this just MS61?? Dunno! Nice original surfaces with satiny luster and some light yellowish patina, probably imparted by roll storage. No distracting hits, and just a few light
hairlines on the cheek. Strike is average for the issue. This is also, I believe, a VAM3, DD obverse, with nice doubling on the "TR" in TRUST.Should grade MS62,and is worth at least half of MS63 money. $199 SOLD
1928 S Peace Dollar PCGS MS63. This is from an original roll and has a light greyish rosy gold tone over both sides. NGC MS64's are bid at $800 (bluesheet), and this very original piece stands a good chance to make that grade. $495
1928 Peace ANACS MS61. Brilliant white. Sharp with some hairlining on obv, rev quite frosty w/ some tics, reeding marks. $499
1934 D Peace DGS MS62. Absolutely looks MS64. Creamy white with a hint of vanilla, great strike, nice frosty luster, and about the number of contact marks you would expect on a MS65 coin. Downgraded for some light lines on either side. Great looking coin. $259 SOLD

1947 PDS BTW NGC65/66/65 gorgeous matched and original white set with a thin crescent of irridescent reddish amber on the bottom of each obverse. "D" mint has PCGS pop of 53/0,NGC pop of 75/2. I believe the "D" mint to be one of the absolute scarcest Commems in Superb Gem. Their absence from most inventories and auctions suggests that the 2000 sets distributed by Stacks may be all that exist of the "D" mint, with the huge remainder of 98,000 being melted for future BTW and WC issues. $795 MAKE AN OFFER

1950 PDS BTW PCGS66/65/66. A lovely white set with great strike and luster, well matched with a touch of haziness.
