I agree with the 1980 bball we did. I got a Bird rookie, not THE Bird rookie, that was ruined by the gum. The last 1981 football we did had the same centering issues in the packs I got.
Dang DrJ, those are the ugliest 81 Topps football I've ever seen! Tough break! My golf packs sucked. No big names for the most part and several cards creased. Only a couple were centered, but still not gradeable. Still can't believe I got five Griffey's in my upper deck box! Good for me!
Got my 83 baseball today. Opened 1 box. No gwynn, a 9oc boggs and a nm sandberg. 3 packs only had 5 cards in them. half the packs had no gum. 10 cards had blank backs. centering was great on half the box, not so great on the other half. Topps had a lot of quality control back then.
For those that asked about USPS or UPS, it depends on the value of the package. I think anything over $100 is shipped UPS. I am 3 hours from Dallas and my packages from BBCE always go from BBCE to Dallas before heading here. I was expecting it to be here tomorrow but it hasn't even reached Dallas yet. So will probably be Friday.
i didn't rip the 83 box yet. but, i ripped one pack and these look very nice. some were so shiny you'd swear they were glossy versions. pulled a nice Ozzie Smith in the first pack

Got 2 of the HOF'er to me Eric Ball UCLA/Bengals, 2 Gary Clark. Nice cards of the REAL LT, Mark May And 2 of this guy . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Well my 89 UD started out good, found a Griffey in the first pack. Then NOTHING in all of the rest. Also the Griffey was the most OC of all of the cards:
I received my 5 packs of 89 Score Football from BBCE today... securely packaged, as usual. Nothing great, no Barry, no Troy. But I did get a Michael Irvin and a Thurman Thomas and a centered Marino, along with a few All-Pro cards of HOFers.
It was a fun rip!

For some reason mine were sent through Jackson, MS this time. They were scanned in at 8:03 in Jackson. They usually go through Dallas and I am right in the middle of the two cities. Wonder if the UPS truck drove right through here because he doesn't like me?

Actually the common 10's go for around $20-30. I have bought quite a few of these looking for a Niklaus 10 but always seem to get the ones that are too far OC or have some sort of surface flaw. These two are from the last break.
Just opened the 1989 Score, all the cards were in real good shape!! First pack I pulled the Sanders RC! any white dots are from my scanner I need to dust..lol

Complete waste of $75... sometimes you just crap out!

You bunghole!! I am not at home anyway. Would feel better if I knew they were at home safe and sound.
One of my two golf packs, the other is put away.
The Floyd is PSA 10 quality, for whatever that's worth.
The rest of the cards had centering issues.

Not too bad, and a lot of fun. Both look like 9's to me.
I see what you mean on the Nicklaus' LSU. Close, but no 10 .
