I'm in vegas and did not feel the shaker. The butcher next door at VONs Supermarket said he felt it as did the change guy in the slot area. But, not me and was sitting down with a patient talking about hearing aids. Nope. bob

We couldn't feel it in Indiana. But I did experience my first earthquake about 2-3months ago here in Indiana. My bed is on rollers and I have hardwood floors. To say the least, I was scared sh*tless. Living alone, and all of a sudden my bed is out of control at 4am, I ran out of my room like a little girl.
I'm a little north of LA but it still shook our house quite a bit!
I've been through two monster quakes, 1971 and 1994, and many smaller ones over the years here in Ca., and although this was a Sunday school picnic compared to those two biggies, I still hate all earthquakes of any size. You never know for sure how large they may get or whether one may just be a precursor to a huge one following on its heels!

SEE the BULL!! BUY the BULL!! BE the BULL!! Do your homework first. And, you will learn alot!!
A small quake will be felt farther and felt more/move more stuff in Indiana than in CA. Bedrock transmits energy much better than sand. But don't tell anyone. We have enough people out here. --Jerry
I know I am going to regret asking this question, but it will not leave my mind. What does a hot sauce collection mean and is this a common pursuit on the West Coast? Are there rarities, do collectors trade etc? I have never heard or read of this type of collecting. Is it part of or related to surfing? Respectfully, John Curlis

I didn't want to say it, PerryHall, but since you see the Maryland side of things, you obviously understood my reason for the question...Respectfully, John Curlis
Kind of silly I agree, but there are many sauces in the $500-$1000 price range, and the record is $10,000 for a single bottle. LOL, yes, there are " keys "
I don't think my wife will go along with the dusting part of this branch of collecting. That $10,000 bottle must really be something. Who'd a thunk? Respectfully, John Curlis

Cross it over to ANACS, you'll get a 6.2
And a 7.0 from SGS or NNC!

There is a plausible theory that numbers of the 1894-S dime were lost in the San Fran earthquake/fires of 1906.
