Which Buffalo coin??

I like collecting coins but can't afford everything I want. Which of the fractional Buffalo coins should I buy?

I have received both proof and uncirculated 4 coin sets. I look at them all and like the unc $10 Buffalo best if I could only have one.

I also have the $25 in proof and unc plus $10 in proof.

(5) boxes in all. I have to send stuff back.

I ordered the $10 unc which is now on backorder. That is my one coin.

I don't know which of what I have to keep.

I over ordered.

hicup!

Yikes. And here I am struggling to prevent myself from ordering any uncircs. It may be a losing battle.

Some of the 2 and 1/2 feather or 3 and 1/2 leg Buffalos are cool! imageimageimage

I think the $10's are gonna be a winner cuz of the size comparison of a real Buffernick.

Just my take on it. I haven't ordered any and probably won't.

  • I'm in a similar situation, I've made up my mind I want the 1/4oz but I can't decide between the proof and UNC.

I suspect, that the $10 will be the most popular & most common. For investment purposes, I would suspect the $50 would be the one to obtain. I'm not buying any at this time. I consider these coins bullion products and if gold keeps on dropping, they may turn out to be a big disappointment.

  • I like the unc compared to the proof if only one.

Yes, I agree. The $10 1/4 will be the most popular. The big dog $50 will probably be the least sold due to its sheer cost.

I have all the coins side by side in front of me. The $5 is cute, the $10 1/4 unc "the winner" to have, hold and enjoy.

In terms of value down the road. Gold is gold. Its just money.

There is no historical significance to this event in my lifetime.

Next years $20 high relief will also be fun to have and hold.

The real money is the pre 1933 gold.

Still I appreciate other's viewpoints very much.

    Alas I must still decide.
