So many questions I have to make a good and educated guess....but in the absence of a chance to sit down and chat with her (and ask alot of nosy questions and poke on her belly) I will have to do the best I can.
At the very least I'm guessing your wife is at/over term. The any day comment also makes me think she may be suffering from TOBP (tired of being pregnant), so I am going to guess above average....
I'm coming in low because - well, just because. Soooo.. my guess is 5 lbs 12 oz. And, no matter what the weight, congratulations and best wishes to you and your wife.
****************** ************update************** My wife and I have been extremely blessed to have delivered our son yesterday. P. J. was born on 8/05/08 at 7:06 Pm EST 20 3/4" 8lbs 15.7 oz
Mom and baby are both resting and both are doing great.
I'll post the winners when we get home. Unless someone wants to help me out

Congrats Jesse, I would of been right on the exact weight when you posted this thread if your wife would of gave birth that day,
The longer the quicker baby puts weight on.
Also all guesses that went over the weight should not win. Those guesses are void. Who gets a prize for being over the actual weight?

My Washington Quarter Registry set...in progress
Well I went ahead and crunched the numbers for you....and the winners SHOULD BE (wait for OP to confirm):
User: | Guess:
sweetwilliet | 9lbs 0oz
CoinMaster1229 | 9lbs 0oz
Tomohawk | 9lbs 0oz
NH484000 | 8lbs 15oz
dan383 | 9lbs 1oz * Tied with pmac but dan383 guessed first
These should be the winners based on an absolute variance (not favoring over or under guess)
I tried to upload an excel file but it was larger than 50kb and it wouldn't let me upload a zippped file.
I was ranked 17
