Gold Buffaloes "Collector Versions"

ProofCollectionProofCollection Posts: 6,980 ✭✭✭✭✭
The Mint website says that the new 1oz Unc Gold Buffalo is a

"...collector versions of the official United States Mint American Buffalo One Ounce Gold Bullion Coin."

So is (BV8) 1oz Unc Gold Buffalo the same as American Buffalo 2008 Celebration Coin (BA3) ?

Is it the same as the regular bullion 1oz Gold Coin?

I think, all mint mark Gold W Buffalo's...are Burnished or Matte finished, along with the MS W AGE's & ASE's. ( Not sure if there is a difference between matte or burnished finish) to distinquish them from the reg. business non W strikes.

All the now-Ws are the same coin, different box. The series just released is a W series similar to that available in AU, AG and PT eagles. --Jerry

The Mints statement on these coins would have meaning if we ever see a year such as 1932 again.

    Yeah man. I discovered I had ordered 2 - 1/4 oz BU's - WHICH WAS a big error.

No worries though .... I just canceled ! image
