I've got the jitters now. Just sent in my first submission

Ok, who else gets the jitters when they send coins to PCGS? This is my first ever submission, and I'm going crazy already and it's only been 5 hours since I sent the package. I sent a single coin for grading, my 1926 Sesquicentennial quarter eagle. It could grade anywhere from AU 55 to MS 63 I think. It's not a killer coin like others have around here, but it's an expensive coin for my budget. Now I'm going crazy with it out of my possession AND having to wait for it to get graded. I'm not sure what's worse, having it not in my possession or waiting for a grade.
So, who else gets the jitters?

I just became a platinum member a week and a half ago and received my starter package on Friday. I had to save up the $200 bit by bit because it had to come out of my coin fund and I happened to run across a few coins I wanted in the process. LOL
<< <i>I recently submitted 5 raw 1 ounce gold coins to PCGS with a declared value of $5,000. The actual real world value was much closer to $7,500. The time from when the post office lady grabs the package from me, to the time PCGS acknowleges receipt of my package is the most nerve racking 48 hours of my life (besides my wife giving birth). Once its in their hands tho, I relax quite a bit! >>
I took a gamble like that once. I shipped a decent amount of gold to PCGS in a USPS Express mail package, insured for 5k which was less thean the melt value of the coins by a few thousand. I will never do that again! I shipped them overnight on a friday so they didn't get delivered until monday and then it took PCGS 2 days to "receive" them into their system... That was stupid.
My wife is going to give birth any day now, I will let you know which is worse later
<< <i>did you make sure you sent it registered mail with insurance...
Yes to both.
<< <i>you need to take a nap for about three or four weeks. >>

I was running late and didnt have the time to tape the package up correctly on my was sent of the first of the month (arrived safely and was processed by PCGS on July 7th).
Submission worth between 5-15k depending on how many body bag and ended up sending it priority with 500 insurance. A nail bitter till it arrived.
And I've been hammering the PCGS server checking my for my grades to come in for days now.
Maybe tomorrow I'll get them.
You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.
I sent in about 8-10 coins, and declared the value at $3,000. One of the coins was a 1922 No "D" and was XF-AU in grade which wasn't mine and was for a friend that I sending it in for. My friend to me it may be a weak "D" so I didn't insure it for much. Once I sent in, I was in a panic as if it was genuine, it was a $4,000 coin. I had only insured it for $500 thinking it was a weak "D". Turns out it was real, and I was sick for a few weeks after grades posted until I had the coin back in my hand.
I will never, ever undervalue a coin again - it isn't worth it. And here I wasn't doing it to save money, just did it thinking it was a weak "D".

First off ...Congrats Jesswvu...Second you will have jitters after a lot of those sleepless nights when the baby comes out. Moonbiter will have these symptoms for like 1-2 weeks tops. But in your case maybe months to a year..well hopefully you wont have any symptoms at all.All the best to you .

I've already went through the baby jitters 6 years ago. At the time my work required me to have a pager. My wife and I had a code so I knew it was her saying she's going to the hospital, so I didn't need to waste time calling and seeing what was up. The code was 777 like on a slot machine. LOL We had 1 false alarm. Let me tell you, I was out of that building in record time and everyone knew what was happening. I worked with about 300 women and some where clapping as I was running out the door. LOL
I am frightened by all those who said they undervalue their coins for insurance...yikes!
It's worth the extra few bucks IMO for the peace of mind.
