The coin finally came in and here's my hastily shot pics from this morning. Being the AU/low end BU Peace $'s aren't my forte in the grading department, I'm not going to call this one BU as the auction described. There are some breaks in the luster near the bottom of the OBV that creates what looks like dark spots in the pics. Plenty of luster everywhere else though. I'd give it an AU58. Still a nice Top 50 Peace VAM-1B.

One of the best extra hair die breaks I've seen. I should have set my snipe higher dont but from what you told me it wouldnt have helped.

That's nice. Looks like a nice late stage break too. Looks mint state. 64ish? What do you think?

and what does this all mean,
    a rare variety?

not exactly a "rare" variety, but a nice popular VAM in the Peace $ series. They call it an "Extra Hair" due to the obvious die crack in the hair. There are several varieties of this Extra Hair variety, this one being the best one.
