Why the run on PCGS blue boxes?

Sold every large lot of PCGS blue boxes I had listed on ebay tonight in a matter of minutes, each to a different seller. These had been listed for a month with no activity. Some rumor of discontinuing must be afoot. --jerry

Maybe it's the economy, if you can't afford the coins buy the box and hope to fill it later
But congrats on a good day of selling!
<< <i>I don't even like the PCGS blue boxes, we just give them away at coin shows. I like the NGC boxes much, much more as they fit almost all TPG holders. But congrats on a good day of selling!
Nobody has paid yet---which is also unusual. This smells of a chatroom fueled emotional purchase would could see some unfulfillment. --jerry

I toss them in the dumpster. I keep the NGC boxes, though.

The NGC ones are the BEST. Wish all of mine were those ones.

<< <i>PCGS is cutting expenses. It would make sense for them to start shipping coins in cardboard instead. Plus cardboard is "green", which is cool. >>
HMM...Maybe I better stop tossing them.

<< <i>This is the reason why most likely. A seller can sell a box of 20 sh*t self-slabber coin world slabs in a PCGS blue box on eBay. Since they are "throwing in" the box they can put "PCGS" in the lot title without risk of cancellation. >>
Could be. All 4 large purchases were in Tuscon--still no payment. --Jerry

I put them in the recycle bin.

158 in 4 auctions. --Jerry
Shhhhhh......... don't tell him people.
Do I have to join NGC and start getting stuff graded over there just to get a supply of boxes that I can use for the inevitable NGC coins that I buy occasionally?
I knew it would happen.
<< <i>I am sure that this has been asked before, but why doesn't PCGS provide a box that will accomodate most other slabs, like the NGC box?

NGC returns coins in cardboard. You have to buy the boxes separately.
