Does coin selling seem down everywhere, I mean everywhere?

I see less chaser coins for danscos on Teletrade and Heritage, plus Ebay, does it seem people are holding onto their goods or many people don't want to lose value and sell for less. Help me.

Seems pretty good for me. Although it's been months since I've seen something I want but that is normal.

I noticed about 80% of the commems didn't sell at Heritage last night. I bid (realistic) on a couple but they had the reserves set too high. The two I was interested in had reserves higher than the hgihest price obtained in the last year ,and they weren't that special.

Unless you're willing to buy stuff that no one else wants (with good reason, I might add), or are willing to write a blank check and throw away the sheets for really nice material, there's nothing out there, and hasn't been for awhile, imo. I've bought ONE coin in the last year, and it isn't as if I haven't been looking.

I too am getting real annoyed at researves that are higher than the all time high ever paid. This hobby has too many people waiting for the "sucker born ever minute".

There are scant pickings of ANY better date Barber Quarters on eBay this summer. A whole slam of AG/G/VG 13-s's for a few weeks as people took their pie from the price jumps, but NO 97-s, 08-s, 05-o in VF or XF offered, one very nice 09-o for sale (It was mineimage) a whole mess of low grade 14-s's and just pages after pages of common stuff, and even less of that than usual. Very slow.

By the way....what's a chaser coin?

I agree...but I also think it depends on what you are looking for and where you look. For example, if you are looking for mid-grade collectable type coins - and if you go to dealers who specialize in your specific collecting area, I think you can still find something you want to buy fairly easily.
