Almost 65/64 and potentially FSB except for the center bands.
  • Thanks for the comments. I am not a regular collector of these
and I have to admit I don't understand the FSB comment but thanks a lot.

MS 63 is a safe grade maybe 64 depending on the look of the coin when in hand

Agree with MS63 or so and the center bands are not split (do not have a continuous line between them)

Very slightly off center or misaligned dies?

  • Thanks all for the education. The coin in hand has better luster than I got in my photo.

I am using a new cam and have a LOT of problems right now getting the white balance right.

I will try and get a better photo and next pic I will take it out of the 2X2............Thanks again everyone

It's hard to tell from that photo, but because of what looks like some rubbing on the obverse, I would never pay MS money for it. I give it an AU-58.
I never thought that growing old would happen so fast.

  • 63 or 64 from the pictures. 1939-Ds usually come hammered. I would have expected full bands.
