GEESHH!! One more OC Nickalus out fo the golf. One possible 10 out of the football and absolutely nothing out of the baeball. Kinda suspicious of the baseball. Out of 6 packs I think the gum stained Reggie card was the only player I had that ever even made an AllStar game. Anyway, here is my one "highlight" from the 78 football. Actually I love this card because he is a homeboy, so to speak.
Then the pack got better. This had to be the best possible pack available out of the entire group rip with the exception of the centering. These were all in the same pack as the Jordan sticker.
very bummed out still no packs and I probably live the closest to the BBCE! E-mail sent to Steve hopefully nothing is wrong the mail is just being slow.
Bummed out about my packs. One of the football packs had a nice ding going through most of the cards on the side while all the baseball packs had the bottom card destroyed from the gum which was expected, but the card above that one was also damaged from the gum eating through the bottom card. Nothing spectacular I think.
This set is before my time so let me know if anything stands out in these 2 packs.
I will upload and post pics of the Baseball later tonight.
The last picture includes the bottom 6 cards which were the cards next to the gum. I tried a piece of the gum in the 78 football and it dissolved in my mouth. Pure nastiness.
Anyway I got a couple good baseball cards, but I have never sent in any cards for grading before and will probably just stick these in a box for the next 20 years.
Do we think the box was a reseal? I didn't pay enough attention to whether my packs were tight or not. Looking at the wrappers it actually looks like some of them were not tightly wrapped at all. More room than there should have been on at least half of mine.
The funny thing is that I despise basketball but the last two group breaks we did, I pulled all the big cards from the basketball. Pulled all three Jordans from 1988-89 in last break plus Reggie Miller and Dennis Rodman rookies.

My father took me to about 10 Tiger games in 1985 and i swear Petry pitched every single one........ Who's pitching dad? Petry. Who's pitching today dad? Petry. Another game dad? Wow! Who's pitching? Please say Morris! Petry. A double header today dad? What luck! Who's pitching dad? Petry. And the second game??? Petry. Both games. Is there another pitcher on the team dad? No. Just Petry.
Some nice cards. Let me know if anyone wants to sell a raw mint card of 1980 Davey Lopes, George Foster or Frank White. I'm also looking for mint raw 1978 Chuck Foreman, Matt Blair and Stu Voigt.
Good day, If anybody's keeping track I pulled one of those same Jordans that Lsutigers pulled, as well as the Other Jordan and the two Dorsett's, but it was so badly centered like his I didn't even originally mention it. Secnd Note, Thanks to all who mentioned the Panty Hose, I have read about that trick numerous times on these boards and never believed it would work on my cards, never really had any to try it on. I did that with my second Dorsett last night, it cleaned up beautifully, enough that I think it will be a 7.5 or 8 at least. I'll let you know when it gets back in a couple of months. The Wife said the pair is now mine, she doesn't want them back...And you should have seen the look and inquisition I got when I asked for them. !!!! Neil

I am a little suspicious of these cards from the 1980 baseball. The Dodgers prospects card looks like someone dug a pen into it and the Pinella has surface creases on it. Is that common in these packs?
Although I too am a little suspicious of the 1980 packs, I will preach about Steve once again. I have placed about a dozen or so orders from him in the last 2 months and have only had one issue with any packs. Sent Steve scans and he agreed with me that they had been tampered with. He not only told me to keep the packs but also gave me a store credit for the amount of the packs. This tells me that he stands behind what he sells 100%.
In regards to these 1980 packs, he sent me an email about some of the concerns regarding these particular 1980 packs. I have no doubt that he would not sell any unopened packs if he suspected they had been tampered with. I would like to chalk up my packs to just bad luck. If I hadn't pulled great cards from the basketball I would have been even more suspicious.
Please keep in mind that he does not have to continue to do these breaks for us and he does not have to continue to give us a 10% discount every time.
He has actually already sent me an email regarding a slightly different possible break which has been discussed before on this board but never acted on.
I stopped by Alan's today for the firsttime in about 17 years or so. Place is not the same. Oldest baseball card I saw in the display case was a 2001 TT Pujols.
I haven't received my packs yet. For some reason my payment went through as an echeck. Not sure what happened there as I have never send an echeck before. I sent the payment the same way I always do. I did get an email from BBCE saying that my packs shipped. James
