new raw petes are they worth grading?

i just got these from ebay.. the 68 is nice all of the way,but the 69 looks to have a soft corner. the 71 is nice centering is nice but i hate that i can not find one with out chipping..i try to find a graded 8 since that is the lowest i will have in my collection.. i guess i will be saving for a few.lol don

    Have you only looked at 1 of the corners so far? I only say that because I see all 4 corners having some softness to them.

    It's been almost a week since we had a raw Rose thread by don. The 68's always seem tough to grade with the naked eye especially if you are Don's age. My one time submitting cards to BGS, I sent in a 68 Braves team card that I swore was at least a 9. It got a 5. I too would pass Don.

    nice cards, save your money on grading fees and put it towards your next gas tank fill-up (priorities ya know)

    Don, your sets are too nice to add those cards. Maybe for a rookie or a venezuelan or something where they're hard to find and pay for, but your cards are mostly 8/9/10. The ones you have here are maybe 6-7 for the team card, and less for the other 2.

    You have quality sets, don't cheapen them image Save the grading fees and pick out the next nicer one that comes along

    well nick you are right as usual.lol i do have that card as an 8 in my collection.. but that 71 is haunting me!!!!! as far as the 68 goes man it sure looks better in person.. but i guess the top to bottom is off a bit. don

    Don- you can buy a 1968 Reds team card in Psa9 oc for less than 10 but I would not grade the one you have unless it is a special.

    well i can return the 71, i talked to that guy.. the other i have not..im hoping that i get put up to #9 on the all time pete listwith all of my specials and the graded cards i have purchased in the last week.. don

    yeah, all 3 guys said i could return the cards..no problem..thats the 1st time i have returned cards but, i also paid alot for these cards. these cards did not look so rough in the auction..lol don

    I think maybe the team card gets a 7 or 8 at best.
    the other two are 4's or 5's at best. JMO
