Super experience with an ebay seller,

Purchased a 4 oz Freedom America medal with original papers. The papers were never received. Talked to the seller to see if he could mail the papers but he is unable to find them. I left + feedback anyway. This email arrived from seller today.
Doug your a cool guy, I know we're all human and make mistakes but i just don't let things go that easily. I saw the same medal go for 157 roughly (I'm not watching it anymore)w/o the box or paperwork, and i feel a 20 dollar refund is in order. I'm in a rush today and cant do it right this instant but I'll get it done here in the next day or so. If i do find the paper I'll of course send it to you. Happy fourth to you too! Mike

Did he give you the option of returning the item, paying for the return shipping and making a FULL refund?
He did not ship you what you won.
Am I assuming correctly that it was a paypal payment.
It takes about 30 seconds to make a PayPal refund.
In the time it took him to type

, he could have made the refund.
We all make mistakes. It's how we correct them that separates the good, bad, great and mediocre.
I'd put this in the so-so category, especially until you see how long his "next day or so" turns out to be.

At this point the seller has done absolutely nothing.
My opinion is based on this moment in time.
No refund has been made.
And I'd still like to know if he offered to refund everything and pay for return shipping.
Did Doug turn down an offer for a complete refund?
Whether someone has posted feedback or not has absolutely nothing to do with your character as a seller/person?
Are you a different person after feedback has been posted? Then your ethics can be bought and the price is a positive feedback.

<< <i>I did not want to return the item. Simply receive what was sold in the auction discription. Seller did not have to give me anything and I would still be happy.
You're a good buyer. Sounds like an honest happening to the seller and sounds like a, generally, good deal all around. If he doesn't do anything, then he will have said something that doesn't happen (happens all the time...I still have people who have said they would do/send something, it doesn't happen...I just move on) but doesn't mean they are bad people.
Now, carsoncitygold is sounding quite grumpy and isn't someone I would want buying from me as any little thing is liable to be shoot first and ask questions later.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I have to agree with you but would add, I don't think I would want to buy from anyone with that attitude.
Just my opinion, of course
