Like your wife, I am a Philippine expat. I am sure she remembers the "New Society" during the Marcos Martial Law years. Here's the largest Philippine gold coin (about 2 inches across and a shade under 2 troy ounces of gold) from the Macoy era:
Congrats on 2 years. My wife and I are almost on 3 years. Below is a picture of her, and a picture of what we produced, and also a picture of my favorite USPI coin currently in our collection.
Here's my submission, been happily married 12 years now. No catalogue bride, collect only. Oh and some coins. As you can see I'd don't collect Phil coins.
