I got "Hooked on Pandas" 4 years ago & have ALL the 1 oz Silver issues up to '08 image They make for an interesting collection due to the change in designs.
Too bad the US Mint isn't as creative & produce a different Silver Eagle each year..

BTW, if you're looking for a way to display the 1 oz Silver rounds.. go to PandaAmerica.. they sell a decent velvet lined case for the 89-08 Pandas.

Awesome pick up! I have a gorgeous one in original plastic in the 1/10th size. Getting the 1 ounce 1982 is gonna cost me bigtime though!

Do you have the 1983-85 issues as well? Or just the uncs from 1989-present?

I do not have the silver run but I do have the 1 troy ounce gold (1982-present) and platinum (1987-1990) run. I also have all the 1 troy ounce gold (11 in all) and solitary platinum China Panda Coin Show Commems that were issued from 1987-1990. image

Nope. That one I can live without. It would throw off my less than $500 average cost per 1 troy ounce platinum panda coin to the kazoo (also, I do not have that much disposable income /savings to spend on it).

Less than $500/oz Pt? WOW!!!image You have been a collector of these for a long, LONG time! Must feel good to know you are up 4x on these even before you add in the numismatic value. I think the 1990 alone is worth over double melt if im not mistaken.

I have seen it listed on eBay above 4K but never followed up to see if they sold. The 1987 1 troy ounce platinum New York Panda (the only 1 troz coin show issued panda in platinum) also sell at a very high premium on eBay because it has the twin towers on the NYC skyline.
