Heritage is looking to hire : Ancient Coins

I have considered some of their regiona; offers but I have no plans to move to Texas at the moment.

Dear Larry,



Heritage is looking for an experienced numismatist in ancient coins to join our staff. Duties will include buying and selling and evaluating potential auction consignments, cataloging, assisting consignors in person and by telephone with some travel to shows and to pick-up consignments. Benefits and salary commensurate with skills and experience. Heritage is a non-smoking company located in Dallas, Texas.

    That's easy, Roman is in Canada, and Dimitri is in Greece. That's how I tell them apart. image

    They've been looking for someone to take this position for a while now. I wonder why it hasn't been filled.

    I interviewed with Heritage in 1999 for a position which they eventually decided not to fill. It was May and it was 104 degrees. WAY too hot for my tastes.

    I'm sure they won't let you smoke in their office, or behind their table at a coin show. On the other hand, I wonder if you're allowed to smoke elsewhere. If not, their health plan may have something to do with it.

    I wonder about that line also. I have read that some firms are not hiring smokers - and even requiring smokers to quit. Cheaper health insurance is a reason, along with the stated reason that they want their employees to be healthy...
