The Official Thread of Numismatic Business Cards

To my knowledge, Notlogical and myself (STONE) are the only two collectors in the world who are starting to collect Numismatic Business Cards.
I'm sure we are not alone in this venture, but as of now I only know of us 2 as true connosiuers of the Numismatic Business Card collections.

I will try to organize this thread in alphabetical order by Business Name or the Individuals Name (Last name first).
I know that I will be editing and expanding this page constantly and I encourage other forum members to add their own numismatic buiness cards if they are not already listed in this database.

Without further ado, let's begin...

So until you find that elusive pop 1 business card, prices should stay in check. image

+1 because I think this thread will live for a long while.

Plus, you spelled Buiness wrong in the title.
That'll make it tough to search image

Good luck, look forward to seeing how your project goes!

There are some Numismatists or Dealers who have many different business cards as they have worked for many different companies/firms. It might be interesting to see which individual has the most different cards based on different places they've worked.

Also, any guesses for who might top such a list?

IMHO, Robert L. Hughes will have the most different business cards. I do not believe that a complete set exists which I believe would contain over 50 cards.
PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows.
I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

Lustig posted a Bid at $2,000 for the complete set. Is he pulling a "B. Max Mehl" on us and he has a pop 1 card in his collection so no one else can complete the series? image

Cool post. I have a few from around the country. I will try to dig them up and scan them.

This thread is going to require a ton of bandwidth if all cards are imaged. Better to provide a link to each image.

Hey, I must be a variety collector because I stopped by the local coin shop, and I got TWO versions of their card. One is a generic version, and the other is a variety with a different logo and a person's name on it. How do I get electronic versions of these posted? Will a PDF work?

This should prove interesting.... I would say the collectors should make arrangements, now, to attend FUN..... prime opportunity to expand the collection. Will you get them slabbed like sportscards?? I am sure PCGS will start a service - including grading. One more question, will toning be considered a plus on cards??? Cheers, RickO

When I was in high school, mid-70's, I used to work Saturdays at (George) Fletcher's Coin Shop in Kansas City. I copied an idea about a business card and in shop class I made cards with his coin shop name and address and at the top it said, "Who says we don't give away samples?" and a place was left in the middle to glue pocket change Lincoln Cents. They were a hit and the novelty was well worth it. I wish I would have kept one.

For fun, tonight I designed my own numismatic business cards on moo.com. One side will look like this:

I had a guy I work with make me up some cards
but as the company I work for is now defunct and
I've decided to retire, so, these cards arn't worth the
    paper they're printed on...
