Used the "get cashback" button in My Messages first, and then copied and pasted the URL with both IE and Mozilla Firefox. No go either way. I use roadrunner ISP. At work, and home, today, I have had problems, all day long, with getting to some sites.... plaxo, linkedin, ebay, etc. There may be something happening in a few key areas. I just was, however, able to get to my cashback portion, after a few minutes, using https://cashbackaccount.search.live.com/cashback/welcome.aspx Then, I logged in (since I didn't need to create a new account as I had already linked mine to it).
I also just checked in ebay and used the same button to get to the above link as well.
So, sorry to hear you are having problems, but the site appears up and running. I can't offer any advice past that, wish I could. Site is up and running....at least, from the west coast, using comcast, I can get to it. Just takes 2-3 minutes
I'm going to try once more at an off peak period here(western N.Y.) and then the next step will be to contact the seller and request that the purchase transaction be voided. I'm sure that will be well received, thanks to MS.
On another forum I saw this: If you're a TWC/RR customer and you're unable to access the Get Cash Back button in My Message to create your account, do this:
1) Goto http://ww23.rr.com/prefs.php (or whatever redirection service is for your area). You can also find this out by typing tracert cashbackaccount.search.live.com on a cmd box and use the IP addresss of the last server hit. 2) Select disable redirection (this is the first option - web address redirection service).

Thanks to MS? Sounds more like a different issue. Is your ISP one that ca0100000 lists above this post?
This is the reason I am stingy with buying on this...I am buying stuff I would anyway, and not trying to "profit", per se, just in case something were to go wrong. If it does, I will own up to it and not blame MS, comcast, or anyone.

Moonshine, it has fluctuated between 10%-35% (only for a short while on the first day, I believe, did it go to 35%). Usually 10% and 25% is what I see. Just wait awhile and look again.
Good question ... I don't know ... but I suspect if a BIN is available, why not, if the transaction is completed within 60 minutes.
