+1 for using BETA and Pete Rose in the same sentence.

    Here you go.

This is one of my old decks. Beta tape is on the left and VHS on the right.

Not one of the first ones (this one is from 1990) but still cost a few dollars. I have the receipt somewhere so going from memory bought from J&R Music World and paid $400 (if I find the receipt I'll scan that).

I can beat that. I was walking through one of the local antique places here about 3 weeks ago and there was a boyfriend & girlfriend, both no more than 20 yrs old. She asked him "how do these work" and he showed her how. It was rotary telephone!

I was just an auction on the 10th. A long time family friend passed away. Her phone was up for sale, a very old rotary one. The
bidding went for just over $50 for it.

The very old style telephones you have to crank always sell well because people use them to fish haha.

Remember them well ... was so psyched when I bought my first 8 track player and put it in my first car ... a Brittany Blue '68 Mustang ...
Not mine, but just what it looked like. Would luv to have one again (but, of course with the MAG Wheels)

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Got a 8 track deck in the collection. Missing the manual eject button but other then that a pretty decent deck.

    And can't forget this.

Found at the local dump and although it is need of work (radio and tuner buttons don't function plus a couple other issues with it) the deck plays fairly well.
