Diagnostics for 64P SMS Rosy Dime?

What are the diagnostics for the 1964-P SMS coins? I have a 64P Roosevelt Dime that is struck like a Proof but doesn't look like a proof - much more of a satiny look. Crossed my mind that it could be the arre SMS version - have seen a few holdered over the years but I don't have the diagnostics to determine if it is or isn't. Can anyone help?????

    Craig,

I've never seen one, but is it possible to do a little comparison shopping? Heritage must have sold a few of these. I know they sold Kreuters specimen a few years ago when he sold of his 1950-date proofs. He had an MS68 if memory serves. Had a nice 1968-No/S 68CAM too!

Also could you not compare them to other 1964's (different) and SMS 1965's (same)?

    Otherwise, I have no idea.

    Later, Paul.

I think I read somewhere that the 64SMS coins have a slightly ugly die polish thing going on?
