In light of the BST mess

After reading the highlite's of the current BST mess and seeing how many poster's there are just using that forum and have not posted on this or any other forum, maybe it's time to only allow posting there only after being a member for 1 year and have xxx amount of post's or some other way to screen before there start selling. I only buy there from members that I have seen over here posting maybe passing up a few good coins but using that has helped me as I never had a bad sale or trade there.

Are they still posting and doing business here? If so, they should be outed.

Did you out 'em? Assuming, of course, that you gave them every reasonable chance to make it right before you did so?

I gave him many, many chances. It was a trade. Unfortunately, it turned out one-sided. He's not posting here, but is active ATS. I affectionately refer to him as CONDOM 101. Mike

Specifics on your "screwing" would give your statement creedance.

What's the matter, you don't have cable? He PM'd me he was interested in a slab. I sent it to him and I got squat in return. You know, half a trade. Mike

Not that anything should surprise me in this hobby any more, but your situation honestly does. He's one of the last people I would have thought would do such a thing.

if your referring to conder101, I find that highly unlikely and unbelieveable. He has always been held in high regards, and I have dealt
with him in the past. He is no longer active here because he was banned due to personal opinion, and I doubt there was a transaction between
you both as he cannot log onto this board anymore as far as I know, and its been that way for over a year. If you did a deal with him ATS
then this should be addressed there.
still doubt what your saying, conder has better things to do with his time.

Doubt whatever the heck you please. Yes, the supposed trade was awhile ago. I didn't jump right on him because I know things may happen. There was no opportunity to bring this up before without sounding childish. If you wish to PM me, please feel free. Mike

What the skittles does that mean? Was this trade on the news networks?
Do you still have your PM's saved from the transaction? Send a copy to pontiacinf

Why don't you, or anyone else who in curious, go ATS and ask him? Mike
It's none of my business. You outed him so I assume you have the proof to back up the claim.

PM me for details
But I do have a long memory and will visit central Washington State in the future. The seller is still posting For sale and WTB on the BST.
My word of advice is not to deal with anyone who spells such as the following---tomarrow, alls, submitt, drage, finel, parsal, seddel, begenner, priorety, awere, ect. I could copy a bunch more but it was becoming too difficult to read the PM's

<< <i>I have been burned on the BST only once, but it was for over $500. I bought a collection that was overstated and overgraded. I returned for a refund that very same day. The seller said I had switched a coin and offered a partial refund. I have a 100% feedback rating on Ebay--nearly 1500 and hundreds of deals on the BST. I feel comfortable saying that I believe no one would have a difficult time dealing with me. After much bickering, I accepted a refund of $2000 from a $2540 deal. Frankly I dont have the time to pursue this as even if I won there is very little chance I would get my money anyway.

So what was the slab? What was the coin? Was there tracking on it? Did he receive it? Did this happen near the end of 2006 when conder was banned?
What??
"I sent it to him and I got squat in return." is still only half a story.
Edited to add: After all, you've stated who it was, why not complete the rest of the story?

If you feel that there's more, he's still an avid poster ATS, (bad manners to metion competetion by name) go ask him. Do me a fave...let us know his response. Thanks, Mike
My advice to anyone buying or selling on the BST is buyer beware. Anyone can sign up and begin to post on these forums. Other than this one incident, my BST experiences have been fantastic. Once I began to trade with the pillars of this community, I have not had a single problem.

You're the one who has done the accusing. Maybe you should go ask him. Then let us know his response.
It's easy as hell to accuse when the accused has no way to respond.
Sir: I am stating a fact. It seems CONDOM 101 has friends and followers here, I'm sure they've been in contact and he may respond through them. I, sir, have no desire to contact the scum. It's a beautiful day here and there's no need to soil it. Sincerely, Mike

hey Mike, I guess you learned here that it's ok to out someone, even encouraged - unless they are popular. Then the mob turns on you
The accused has many ways to respond -including directly to the injured party. In dact, that would probably be the best and most productive response.

Isn't that the truth. In fact, if one would search past threads, he's admitted to the fact, but that doesn''t seem to matter. Does it? Oh, to be the Golden Child instead of the enfant gate'. Mike
<< <i>I too had a BST problem with a fellow member in early 2007. I was a sent a cleaned, overgraded coin in the 1k range but was promised an original AU55 example. The seller gave me a story about how he could not accept returns. I waited a few months and sold it on eBay (listed as cleaned with huge pics) and got my money back due to an increase in the price of gold. I decided to give the seller a break but I learned a valuable lesson.
